Himalayee Paryavaran Shiksha Sansthan was established on 14th March, 1995. During that period three major movements were ongoing in the state of Uttarakhand. First movement was for the making of a separate state of Uttarakhand second movement was against the building of Tehri Dam and the third movement was against the commercial Felling of trees. All of these movements were emotionally connected to the people of Uttarakhand and they were fighting for their rights under self-motivation. The demand for a separate state of Uttarakhand was more motivated because the people living in the special part of the state of Uttar Pradesh were very sad because of the development perception of the people of Uttar Pradesh being much according to the Plains Standards. Raksha Sutra Aandolan was founded by Himalayee Paryavaran Shiksha Sansthan only. In the year 1994-95 lumbering of trees was started on an industrial level in the water catchments areas of the Bhilangna, Balganga, Dharmganga, Jalkur, Alaknanda and Bhagirathi situated at the heights of 10 thousand feet like Ryala (Budhakedar),Chaurangikhal, Harshil, Harunta, Adala, Mukhem etc.
