Runoff Control

Uncontrolled runoff of the surface water leads to erosion of the soil and often leads to landslides. Reduction of the pace of surface water flow by vegetative means and by erecting mechanical barriers promotes groundwater augmentation besides controlling erosion. A number of check dams have been constructed in the region by the community along with our partner organizations for this purpose apart from staggered trenches, bunds and recharge pits.
